As part of the S.I.S - Strength In Struggles Support group I will be running a walking group once per month at various local locations. The aim of this is to offer that extra peer to peer support out and about in a relaxed environment.
​
Spending time outdoors is known to help with mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
​
Anyone and everyone welcome. You don't have to come to the other groups to get involved.
​
The walks will take place once per month on a Saturday at 9.30am. The dates for this year are listed below and locations will be confirmed each month on this website and also social media Facebook and Instagram.

There will be a trained therapist on the walks for people to have a chat to should they wish to.

First walk starting Sat 2nd March 9.30am- Townley Park, Burnley. Meeting place - Townley Garden Centre Carpark, Deer Park Rd, Burnley BB10 4SD

Locations for the above to be confirmed a month in advance. All walks will be tailored to peoples needs and will be flat walks around 1 hour. People will also have the opportunity to stay for a brew and cake at the end depending on location.
Come and give it a try and meet like minded people with a view to supporting each other and make new friends along the way.
